What are vascular (red) lesions?

The commonest vascular lesions are typically prominent capillaries often visible on the nose and cheeks (but also other areas on the face). They are commonly referred to as “broken capillaries”. These abnormal capillaries can range from just a few to numerous capillaries creating a significant abnormal redness over a wider area. Other benign abnormal vascular (red) type lesions exist as more prominent localised spots.

What can I expect in the treatment?

Prior to treatment your skin will be cleansed and a set of clinical photos will be taken of the areas to be treated. The vascular lesion will then be removed within minutes using our state-of-the-art laser technology which is the only laser designed with a small pen-tip head, shaped to specifically target vascular lesions, leaving the surrounding skin untouched.

How long does the procedure take?

How many treatments will I need?

Our innovative laser technology facilitates the removal of vascular lesions instantly at the time of treatment. In cases where the vascular lesion is large, such as a vascular birthmark or mild-severe Telangiectasia, additional laser treatments may be required.

Is the treatment painful?

Topical and or local anaesthetic can be administered prior to your treatment to ensure you are kept very comfortable.

Post treatment results

Following your treatment, some redness, swelling and skin blistering may occur at the site of treatment. The skin will begin to scab and heal over the coming week or two post treatment. You can apply makeup to conceal the treated area(s) following your treatment.
