Teardrop Implants Before & After Gallery

Teardrop (Anatomical) Breast Implants are a type of silicone implant designed to mimic the natural shape of the breast, with a gradual slope and more volume at the bottom. This makes them a popular choice for individuals seeking a subtle, natural-looking enhancement. Teardrop implants may also help lift mildly sagging breasts or add fullness to the lower breast area.

What are teardrop (anatomical) Breast Implants?

Breast implants are available in two different shapes: round or teardrop-shaped (also known as anatomical implants). Often (but not always), patients who would like a very natural-looking breast shape prefer to have teardrop implants, as these implants don’t produce a look that is overly augmented.

Teardrop implants can also help to lift sagging breasts. These implants can be described as wedges, helping to lift the breast and nipple upwards. They are also an ideal choice for women who have a very tight lower breast and need help to create a fuller ‘underboob’.

All Breast Augmentation surgery is performed in a private hospital under general anaesthesia. Suitable candidates for breast implant surgery should be in good mental and physical health, understand all surgical risks and complications and have realistic expectations regarding their surgical outcomes.

Teardrop implants are made of an advanced cohesive silicone gel. This gel is quite firm and maintains its form well.

Teardrop implants are textured, meaning their surface is rough. This helps prevent the implant from rotating.

Yes, unlike round breast implants, teardrop implants are available in different heights: low, moderate and tall. Having different heights makes these implants ideal for those whose breast base width is different to their breast height. This is often an issue for individuals with a short and tight underboob or those with a very constricted breast footprint.

Teardrop implants are ideal for individuals who have a very tight lower breast and need assistance to help create a fuller underboob. Anatomical implants can help lift sagging breasts, with Dr Dona describing them as ‘wedges’ that lift the breasts and nipples upwards. Because of their anatomical shape (which is thinner at the top than at the base), teardrop implants offer a far more natural silhouette in the upper breast. These implants are also filled with an advanced cohesive silicone gel, which is quite firm and known for its ability to maintain form.
