Full, luscious lips are desired by many women. A plump pout is universally synonymous with youth, and is seen as an icon of sensuality. For many years women have tried all sorts of devices, injectables, surgery, facial rejuvenation, over the counter plumping products and massage therapies to achieve pucker perfection – mostly with disappointing results. However, modern-day lip augmentation is now a simple non-surgical procedure that uses injectable gel-like products (known as filler) to enhance, and as required, restructure the lips.

The ‘ideal’ lips are full, natural-looking, well-defined, having a strong Cupid’s bow (the V-shaped area of the upper lip). Features such as the lip border, balance between the top and bottom lip, and symmetry, are each an essential element for achieving luscious lips. In addition, it is also highly appealing when the rich ridges connecting the upper lip to the nose (philtra columns) provide a lovely curve.

Younger women often want fuller lips to enhance their natural features and to feel more sensuous and feminine. Over time, a loss of the lip volume can occur and replacing diminished lip volume can result in more youthful looking lips and increased self-esteem and confidence.

‘Filler’ is the common terminology for a group of products that are made to be injected in facial areas to provide more volume. There are many types of fillers available nowadays but the most popular and effective fillers are based on hyaluronic acid. Filler is comprised of complex sugar molecules (found naturally throughout the body), and which bind with water to support the skin up, create volume and help reduce creases.

At Bella Plastic Surgery, we use high quality fillers to create soft, natural looking and better-defined lips. High quality fillers augment the natural contours of the lips and add fullness that looks and feels natural.

The fillers used for lip augmentation can also be used to fill deep creases, grooves, and lines, restore cheeks, and even smooth out lumps and bumps on the nose.

'Kiss Me' Lip Filler Technique Videos

Kiss Me Lip Filler Technique

We are excited to introduce the new ‘Kiss Me’ lip filler treatment, a unique lip filler treatment technique offered only by Bella Plastic Surgery. This specialised treatment requires the use of our high quality semi-permanent fillers that are injected under the upper lip line, to provide a non-surgical Cupid’s Bow lift, while creating an amazing shape and volumising the lip – and importantly, leaving your lips looking perfectly natural!

What’s involved?

The treatment is non-surgical and involves filler being administered into the upper and lower parts of the lip, immediately restoring and enhancing lip volume and hydrating the lips.

Does it hurt?

Lip filler treatment is well tolerated with the use of topical and/or local anaesthetic which is administered prior to treatment.

What is the recovery time?

Typically, lip filler treatment will not interfere with your day-to-day lifestyle. However, from an aesthetic perspective, your lips will become swollen and bruised following the lip filler treatment and this state will continue for a number of days post treatment. It is important that you plan your treatments as required.

Minimising Potential Risks

Filler treatments have been performed safely for many decades. However, like all facial and body augmenting procedures, there are potential risks involved. Mitigating risk is a key aspect of filler treatment and this is achieved through advanced and ongoing internal and external training of our professional team of practitioners.

What is the cost?

The cost for lip filler treatment is subject to the of filler being used, and the volume of filler that is required to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome. Please call us today for a discussion on the cost of you’re the particular treatment you are seeking.
